Adams Fire District Informational Meetings
To be held Tuesday, October 21. 2025 at 2:00 pm and Monday, November 17, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the Adams Fire District Fire Station, 3 Columbia Street, Adams, MA.
To discuss the following:
The Prudential Committee's recommendation for the Clerk/Treasurer to be changed from an elected to appointed position and their recommendation for the Fire Chief Engineer to be change from part-time to full-time.
The Prudential Committee encourages the public to attend the meeting.

Lawsuit Update
On September 13, 2019, the Adams Fire District
was served with a class action lawsuit, which challenged the way the District billed Street Lighting and
Fire Protection as a fee, rather than as a tax.
The Class Action Settlement was finalized on August 17, 2023.
Damages have been administered by Optime Administration, LLC.
